Health expo 09_Aussie helpers

Aussie helpers is a group of volunteers who collect food and money to help the farmers in bush.St.George TAFE health expo 2009 raised funds for Aussie helpers. This is very good and ,and we had a great interview with one volunteer of the Aussie helpers,Sue Martin.

Sue Martin said many things about Aussie helpers. They started with drought but now there is lot of problems. There is a drought in victory too and floods in Queensland and Northern Australia. No body is paid. They collect food and money for the poor farmers. Many people need help but they can't help all of the people because they have just 30-40 volunteers. They also help farmers with depression. I think they are doing a great job and some people also help and we should help Aussie helpers ourselves.

A grand uni grad at 83

A few weeks ago we read this article in class.

Main picture: John Veage
My opinion about Bert Gardner

Firstly one thing, he is very young in his mentality, because he knew that he was not as fit as the other students physically, but he was active in his mind. Also he was patient in his study too. He knew about his desire , that's why after many years later he completed his graduation. I think he is a great man. He is an idol in our society. He is a good role model for young people.

My first day in australia

My first day in Australia was both happy and enjoyable. When I landed, it was a beatiful evening. Then i reached the custome, they asked me several question. I was really excited to see my brother in law and his wife with their kids. They took photos of me. It was really enjoyable for me. Then they took me to my new house in Kogarah. I was very tired and hungry. Soon after arriving we took some Australian food. It was awsome! My brother in law and my husband talked about their life here in Sydney and they said many things were different here.

Although it was charming to see my brother in laws family , I realised my life would never be the same because I was in a new country where everything would be different for e.g Languge ,culture ,food and everything. I enjoy my life with my husband happily ever after.

Hi all

Hi everyone, it's me Asha. I came from Bangladesh. My hometown is Savar.
I have been here for five months. I live in Kogarah with my husband. Now I'm studying in AMEP-B at TAFE. The weather is very good in Australia. I've visited many places like the Opera House, Darling Harbour and Hide Park . I love them all. I'd like to visit other cities in Australia too. All things are good here. After this course, I want to go to uni and study a lot and I also want to be an air hostess. My desire is to be an educated person. I said that everything is good here, but I miss my mom all the time, because she is my world I think. Anyway, I hope to live happily with my husband here in Australia.
